Groundhog Day is one of the most beautiful and complex Heathen-rooted observances in Deitsch culture. Forget what you see from Punxsutawney! This is the day that we breathe life into the Butzemann, the father of this year's crops. This is the day we celebrate feminine creative energy, the power and grace of Frigg, and welcome the other-worldly messenger back from his journey... yes, the Groundhog.
